Brought to you by Style.com, a few confirming words that when in a recession: embellishment, superfluous accesories, and oppulence is a must when it comes to runway fashion. When style is given in abundance, street fashionistas take what they can get. Yes, times are hard. But essence is priceless and timeless. No, it is not denial. It is simply optimism.

"On the runway, there's no color of depression."

That's hilarious. They seem a bit oblivious. But I must say the pieces of clothing shown were brilliant each in their own way. I loved the "Paris, Manhattan, Milan" piece, or at least the one shown when the person was talking about that. Oh, this is Mike Niemeyer by the way. This blog I'm writing from is kind of a confessional/weird one I wrote when distraught. My alter ego is 'Walt Peters' and I've used some of that in fiction when doing roman a clef stories. Anyway, witty post! I am pretty naive about fashion, but love the beauty and art of it.

i feel like i've heard this before... something to do with the french revolution and the prisoners of the Bastille. "who cares about the economy when you can have blue leopard dresses?" bitch! i do!

i'm not going to lie, those garments are beautiful, but not even the rich can afford that right now

p.s. the word verification i got for this was "choma" in a wonderful aqua colored, wave font.
